From the stellar 2017 vintage in Central; a blend of regional fruit, made by Grant Taylor. Deep and enticing ruby colour, radiating scents of red cherry, cola and doris plum. A boldness to the front of the palate, with herbaceous flavours, a savoury balsam, and a core of fleshy, dark berries as you dive in deeper. Full of charm, this has a harmony of refreshing acidity, a dusting of oak spice and fine but sinewy tannins. Firmly concentrated and still with a youthful bounce, it is structured for a long life ahead. A well-rounded wine with all the hallmarks of a classic Central Otago Pinot, and pure varietal expression.
